PRIMARY school pupils are being taught the art of massage in a bid to boost their learning.
Children at Our Lady of The Angels Primary School, in Cwmbran, have just completed a six-week course as part of the Massage in Schools Programme (MISP).
The international scheme uses massage to encourage children, aged four to 12, to learn and develop social and emotional skills. It is also recognised as an effective anti-bullying strategy.
They are taught a routine of massage for the hands, arms, back and head, which children carry out on each other.
